We had Mitsubishi mini-splits installed at our home by Ocean State Air Solutions and could not be more impressed or happier with every aspect of our experience. Our initial contact was with Joe DeSilva, who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable, but one of the most sincere and honest people I have ever met. Joe offers a superior product combination of top notch mini-splits and installation technicians unparalleled with regard to ability, thoughtfulness, communication and attention to detail. We obtained several estimates from different contractors for the job, including for both Fujitsu and Mitsubishi units, and while we were sold on Joe and Ocean State Air Solutions when we placed our order, the installation validated our choice more pleasantly than we ever could have imagined. I had the majority of my office communication with Kristy, our Installation Coordinator. I am not exaggerating when I say she was extraordinarily and incomparably thoughtful, thorough, knowledgeable and quite simply, the most attentive, impressive and exceptional customer support representative I have ever met. Our installation technicians were Josh, Adam and Noah. They too were remarkable professionals who were extraordinarily communicative, ensuring compliance with our desires as well as their progress on each important step, incomparably thoughtful in how their movements and actions would impact on our comfort and were meticulous in their approach to and completion of the installation, optimizing the most aesthetically pleasing and operationally efficient fit I could have imagined. As a point of reference I should mention we not too recently had a major remodel done of our home, and not one of the dozens of professionals that participated in that large scale project were as impressive as either Josh, Adam or Noah. Wrapping up their above and beyond service in superb support of us as customers was Jane, who adroitly and cheerfully completed all the complicated certification and rebate documents, so we didn’t have to learn the intricacies of multiple system filing requirements or face the drudgery of unfamiliar paperwork to get our rebate. Finally, I had separate interactions with the owners, Craig and Marybeth Clark and through them as well as with everyone else with whom we interacted from Ocean State Air Solutions, it became quite obvious why all their team is so good and so pleasant; they are not just a team, they are a family. Leadership starts at the top, but the dedication, work ethic and attention to the customer we experienced went far beyond simple oversight, it was leadership by example to the degree every member of that team with whom we interacted conducted themselves as primary stakeholders, as well as extended family members. That entire team is outstanding. As you should be able to determine by now, we could not be more impressed or happier with our mini-splits or Ocean State Air Solutions.Update: In addition to our new Mitsubishi mini-split system, we have now had Ocean State Air Solutions take over responsibility for entire HAVAC system. In late July, Matt and Giovanni performed a preventative maintenance (PM) on our whole-house HVAC system and like everyone else with whom we interacted at Ocean State Air Solutions, they were consummate professionals who provided a top-notch service. In fact, their work far eclipsed what we had received for PMs from the original system’s installer. Again, we could not have been more pleased or happy that we now have Ocean State Air handling all our HVAC and mini-split needs.

I’ve been a customer going on 3yrs. now. I stay up with the yearly services. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Ocean State Air. My recent service was with Giovanni, he was awesome. He was thorough and respectful. He went above and beyond the regular service. We are living in a world of terrible customer service. This is not one of those companies. Thanks again for the old school great service.

Mid May - We decided to call Ocean State Air Solutions from their positive reviews. Glad we did! Great service by technician Giovanni, who was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and on time. Customer service is A+. Would not hesitate to use this company again and will recommend to friends/family.July 27 - Had a problem with the fan unit. Called yesterday and Matthew came out this morning to fix it. Ac is working again! Matthew was great explaining what caused it and refilled refrigerant. What we like is that Matthew told us up-front that the refrigerant is expensive due to an older system. Great that company hires technicians who are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, courteous and ON TIME :-).

The owner was supposed to show up with Chris the new salesman. After a thorough conversation with the booking representative I thought for sure my needs would be met. Unfortunately my time has been wasted and I must report this to Mitsubishi since this is supposed to be a Diamond dealer. Chris lacked experience and all knowledge of HVAC. That’s not the worst part! He promised me some pricing as I already having completed the Rise Audit and being pre approved for credit was waiting to improve my hvac was Ghosted by Chris. No email no call no follow through. Disgusting waste of the 5th of July morning. Thanks for wasting my time and doing nothing to try and earn my business. I guess you have to pay this company for estimates

I requested an annual service for my 3 Mitsubishi mini-split units. From scheduling the appointment, to the reminder of when the technician was arriving, to the on time arrival, OSA was a pleasure to work with. Excellent communication, knowledgeable and professional technician (Matt), completely satisfied with the work done. This was my first time using OSA and will not be my last.

We are more than satisfied with our experience having a mini ductless system installed last week. From the top down, everyone was professional, very responsive and friendly. The ladies in the office were just so helpful and answered every question I had. Lenny was great when he came out to help us decide what we needed. Our technicians, Anthony and Dylan, were just the nicest, hard working guys ever! I have never seen techs who were that knowledgable and hard working and they were neat as a pin!! You would never know there was work going on in our house when they left at the end of the day. I highly recommend this company and we already have our next project in mind! You cannot find a better company!! They get 10 stars from us and a Great Big Thank You!!

I recently selected Ocean State Air Solutions to install a rather large and complicated multi-zone heat pump system. The job took 13 days (team was on site daily - no delays) and included the installation of new ducting, two exterior condensers, two air handlers, and 4 ductless heads. This install would replace the oil heating system in the home and provide AC, which the home lacked previously.I'm an engineer by profession so I approached this with a very technical mindset. Given the size of the system and the investment, I made sure to quote around with recommended installers. Ocean State was not the least expensive option, but Aaron did a great job of communicating and ensuring me of their technical proficiency through the whole process that it seemed a no brainer to select their bid. Most importantly for me, he did not get impatient with my technical inquires or push back when I wanted more in-depth analysis for system sizing. Craig, the owner, was also involved and helped to convey the company's commitment to providing the right system and provide feedback/ strategy on how to best design/conceal as much of the system to make it look as seamless as possible. He also checked in several times during the project to make sure the quality was meeting his standards.The install team was great. Thanks to the ductless/commissioning team Josh and his helper (just kidding - thanks, Adam!) and the ducting crew - Nick, Jimmy, Jack, and Giovanni. Also thank you to Kristy and Jane back at the office for their help with coordination and the rebate/payment process.Since the install I'm not convinced all the systems are working as intended and with an install this large that's not surprising. I've been in continued contact with Aaron to discuss and he has been very supportive. He has reaffirmed the company's commitment to ensuring we are satisfied for the long haul. Exactly what I'd hope for from a company who stands behind their work!I'd highly recommend considering/selecting Ocean State to anyone considering HVAC installation in Rhode Island.

Ocean State Air installed a heat pump at my house in July 2022 to provide cooling and heating for the first and second floors. Both the cooling and heating have worked very well and the installation looks neat. Both the the interior fans and the outside condenser operate very quietly. The rep explained everything thoroughly and patiently and didn’t push us to a particular setup. In our case it made more sense to go with the full heat pump ducted system rather than the mini split. The installation team were professional and did a first class job. It may be possible to get a cheaper installer but this local company does a quality job and uses the best equipment. Very happy and would use them again!

We had a great experience working with Ocean State Air Solutions. Starting with Aaron coming to the house, sharing his extensive knowledge with us and making time to answer any and all follow up questions we had. We were also impressed with the team who completed the actual installation. Anthony, Dylan & Gio were all extremely professional and worked diligently to give us the best system and keep the house as clean as possible throughout the process. I first met Ocean State Air solutions through a recomendation from a freind who had a moldy basement like mine. So I had them insrall a Santa Fe industrial strength dehumidifier and within a week I could smell and feel the difference . My house no longer smells like mold and the basement is finally dry. Because of this great experience I decided to upgrade my electric heat system to the mini split heat and a/c units and take advantage of the National Grid rebate and 0% loans being offered. Ocean State helped me through the whole process--who to call at National Grid, got all the permits needed for the job, included the electrician and the inspection, and submitted the rebate info. But the best part of the installation was the crew- not only were they punctual and professional and innovative on how to vent my units, they were also neat and even vacumed each day before they left! Highly recomended🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Matt just left after servicing our Santa Fe Classic dehumidifier. After listening to the problems we were having & a quick diagnostic check, he topped off the refrigerant and increased the efficiency - bringing it back to design specs in no time. We had called other companies quote but were not convinced to go forward.Our representative Joe Desilva was very helpful in offering all opinions available and to select our needs and requirements. We have been waiting for 25 years for this.The tech team was super and also on time and asked and consulted us on the job at hand. Mike and Josh did a very good installation clean, neat and exercised admirable work habits.(sometimes hard to find). We chose the Mitsubishi brand with the MLZ ductless and believe it was the right choice.The price and quality justify the price.We are very pleased and expect to get many years of comfort and will call Ocean State Air for annual service. Definitely consider Ocean State Air Solutions if you are thinking about any HVAC services on the island. The wife and I were ready for mini split units, and after getting multiple quotes, Ocean State Air Solutions were the most responsive and seemed the most legit. There are probably options out there that will be slightly cheaper, but I would be more concerned with their process and quality. They contract an electrician, supply a permit, and keep things organized to make things easy for you. Ocean State air solutions installed four units and a condenser in our old Newport house within 3.5 days. They were extremely clean and professional, to the point that I was able to successfully work from home during the entire installation. They even checked in to figure out the best times to be loud based on my meetings I had for work throughout the day. They also can help you with the national grid rebate process. So happy with our ac units. Would highly recommend. Great service and great people.

Some of the most professional interaction with a contractor that I have had in many years of home modifications. Life is about relationships. As a landscape architect I rely on them everyday to ensure designs come out great. Ocean State Air & the owner, Craig, spent time with me to ensure the house I was building would have the proper energy efficient heat & AC units & coverage it required. Charged me $375 to refill my refrigerant in my AC unit which literally only took 5 minutes to do. The tech who showed up told me it was going to be $150 but after calling his boss he was told to hang around and monitor the system, which was a joke, and 30 minutes later I’m being charged an extra $225!!!

Installed a dehumidifier (Santa Fe) in my crawl space to mitigate humidity issues. Did a good job evaluating the set-up, sizing the unit, and an excellent install job. Easy to work with, would recommend them. They perform a number of HVAC-related services related to crawl spaces (mold remediation, etc.).

Ocean state installed a compete HVAC system in our house complete with duct work. The work was done in the winter, and now that it is end of May they reached out to me to make sure that everything was ok, and then sent someone to our home to test the AC before using it for the first time. This company and everyone who works for them are of the utmost professionalism.

From the very first contact with the office, Ocean State Air was responsive, professional and really seemed to care about our situation. The appointment process was easy and seamless and the technician appeared on time, was respectful of our space and was just a really good person. I can't answer the "good value" because this is the first time I've called on heating/cooling technicians for repair. But they responded whereas the company that installed the three units were looking three/four weeks ahead.
